For my alter ego I am thinking about doing a type of family that all works together. I have often thought of my own head as a circus so I’ve been considering that or a freak show. I want each character to be representative of a deeper trauma or struggle that caused them to join to family. The family itself I want to present as strong-willed, compassionate, and loving. Despite their backgrounds, looks, or species. I also want to find some way to show inner relationships within the family. Such as, best friends, passed members, or group moments to express how interconnected the group is. Since they are a family that works together everyone has a say and their personal experiences go into the choices they make for the business. However, despite their struggles they still keep the show up and running. While this family might not be a single person for the project, it does feel like my alter ego. Many times I feel as though I have more arguments and conversations between different sides of my brain than I do in real life. I also feel that I am often reminded of things I’ve gone through, and I use those situations to help inform my decisions. In a way I kind of see my life like a big show and I want to show what is behind that, like the backstage tour of how the show is run.
